Franklin County Main Street Program

The Franklin County Local Development Corporation is committed to assisting with the resurgence of main streets and downtowns in Franklin County. Among other activities, FCLDC seeks and has been awarded funding from a variety of state and non-profit grant programs to provide financial assistance to commercial and mixed-use renovation projects. Am I eligible for the Franklin County Main Street Program?

In general, most profit and non-profit businesses and organizations can apply for funding assistance.  Eligible renovations include facade renovations and restorations, the creation or renovation of commercial space, and the creation of new residential units. Renovations must meet local design guidelines and standards, the NYS Building Code, and NYS historic preservation standards. Grants are awarded on a reimbursement basis. There is an owner match requirement that varies based on the program.

How can I apply?

Applications are currently being accepted for proposed projects in the core area of Downtown Malone along Main Street. Application forms are can be found here. Completed applications must be submitted via this form and must be received by Friday, July 16th, 2021 at 12PM. For assistance please contact Phil Hans, Destination Manager.

2019 Saranac Lake/Tupper Lake Project Construction Bid Opportunities

Project Construction Bid Opportunities

The Franklin County Local Development Corporation is soliciting construction bids from qualified contractors for various interior and exterior renovation projects in the villages of Saranac Lake and Tupper Lake. Bids are being accepted for the following projects:

Bids due by Friday, June 25, 2021 at 12PM:

Bids due by Friday, July 2, 2021 at 12PM:

Work must begin by August 1, 2021 and the project must be complete by December 1, 2021. Bids shall be emailed to Jeremy Evans at jeremy@adirondackfrontier.com or mailed or delivered to: Franklin County Local Development Corporation c/o Jeremy Evans at 355 West Main Street, Suite 428, Malone, NY 12953.

This project is funded in part through the New York Main Street Program. As such, Bidders will be required to comply with all applicable Village, State and Federal requirements and regulations pertaining to the Program. However, Bidders should be aware that this project is not subject to State Prevailing Wage or Federal Davis-Bacon Wage requirements.
