Whatever you call it – Downtown, Uptown, Main Street – our urban centers serve as the heart of our communities.
Creating strong communities starts with unleashing the vibrant spirit of our downtowns and main streets. These centers are where jobs, ideas, and people intertwine to create thriving neighborhoods.
We are dedicated to fueling the resurgence of main streets and downtowns throughout Franklin County. Our mission is to empower these places with the necessary tools and resources to flourish. We believe that by providing support in the form of technical assistance, planning support, placemaking, and financial support, we can transform downtowns.
Technical Assistance
FCEDC offers technical assistance to help communities achieve their main street revitalization goals. We provide guidance and expertise, data and other assistance to build project readiness.
Planning Support
Strategic planning is the foundation of downtown revitalization and leads to public and private investment. We help guide communities through the process from public engagement to execution.
Placemaking
Placemaking is an approach to planning, design and implementation that puts people at the center and results in stronger community pride and higher quality of life. We understand that placemaking is crucial to talent attraction and will work with community stakeholders to build awareness and educate the public on the benefits of placemaking.
Financial Support
Grant funding helps remove barriers to completing downtown revitalization projects. We provide expertise and capacity to bring funding opportunities to communities, businesses and organizations.
By collaborating with local businesses, organizations, and residents, we can achieve remarkable results in revitalizing our downtowns and shaping a future that we can all be proud of.
Your support and participation are integral to the success of this transformative journey. Tell us about your downtown, share ideas you have, or join the influential minds shaping our county’s vibrant downtown scene by participating in the Adirondack Frontier Main Street Advisory Board.
