Homegrown. Locally Rooted.

In Franklin County, we don’t wait around for someone else to fix the economy—we build it ourselves. Together.

From shop-local entrepreneurs to biotech innovators, from village main streets to scenic trailheads, the Adirondack Frontier is proving that small, steady wins lead to big, lasting change.

What We’re Building Right Now

Here’s a look at the homegrown progress happening across Franklin County:

A Next-Generation CEDS
We’re refreshing our Comprehensive Economic Development Strategy to put people-first infrastructure—like housing, childcare, and broadband—on the same level as roads and utilities. Help shape the plan that will guide our region’s future.

Frontier Harvest Fund (in development)
In partnership with Franklin County, we’re working to launch a new fund that will provide grants to support small farmers and food producers—the backbone of our rural economy.

Rail Trail Small Business Fund Awards
We’re backing new ventures in Harrietstown and Tupper Lake that bring the Adirondack Rail Trail to life—guest cabins, trail services, bike repair, and more.

Saranac Lake Streetscape Guidelines
We’ve developing a practical playbook to make downtown more beautiful, more walkable, and more welcoming to businesses, locals, and visitors alike.

The Carry (Malone & Saranac Lake)
More than just coworking. It’s a place where founders, freelancers, and remote workers come together with big ideas.
