Expanding Housing Options in Franklin County
The Plus One ADU Program is a potential grant opportunity that could help Franklin County homeowners create an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) on their property.
Funding has not yet been awarded. The Franklin County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC) is currently collecting interest forms to demonstrate demand and strengthen a future funding application. If funding is secured, eligible homeowners could receive up to $125,000 to support ADU construction or rehabilitation.

We’re looking for Franklin County homeowners who:
Own and live in their home as a primary residence
Are interested in creating a separate, independent living unit on their property
Have a household income that qualifies as low-to-moderate income (see limits below)
Could benefit from grant funding to make an ADU project financially possible
Want to help expand attainable housing options in their community
Submitting an interest form does not commit you to the program. It allows FCEDC to demonstrate demand and notify you if funding becomes available.
