Village of Malone Completes Downtown Strategic Plan to Revitalize Community
Malone, New York – The Village of Malone and the Franklin County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC) are pleased to announce the completion of the Malone Downtown Strategic Plan, a comprehensive roadmap for revitalizing the community’s downtown area. The plan was developed by FCEDC and their consultant, Insite Architecture, with the support of the New York State Department of State, which provided funds under Title 11 of the Environmental Protection Fund.
The Downtown Strategic Plan builds upon the Village of Malone’s previous planning and implementation efforts for its downtown and waterfront areas. The plan provides a detailed strategy for executing projects that will help the community secure funding for priority projects and achieve its revitalization goals.
“We are thrilled to have completed this important plan for the future of our downtown,” said Mayor Andrea Dumas. “This plan will guide our efforts to create a more vibrant and prosperous community for residents and visitors alike.”
The plan outlines a series of projects and initiatives that will be implemented over the coming years, including streetscape improvements, storefront façade renovations, and public space enhancements. These efforts will help to attract new businesses and improve the overall quality of life for residents.
The Downtown Strategic Plan was developed with extensive input from community stakeholders and local businesses. The Village, FCEDC and Insite Architecture worked together to create a plan that reflects the community’s unique character and aspirations.
“We are proud of the collaborative effort that went into developing this plan,” said FCEDC CEO, Jeremy Evans. “It truly represents the community’s vision for its future, and we are excited to see the positive impact it will have on Malone.”
The Village of Malone is committed to the ongoing implementation of the Downtown Strategic Plan and looks forward to working with its partners and stakeholders to bring the vision to reality.
