A Resounding Success, Application Deadline Extended

Franklin County, NY — The Franklin County Economic Development Corporation (FCEDC) has been honored to administer the NYS Resilient & Ready Storm Recovery Program within Franklin County and pleased with the quick response from homeowners affected by Tropical Storm Debby. Thanks to strong interest and a steady stream of applications, we’ve been able to approve substantial financial assistance to residents, empowering them to make critical repairs to their homes and regain a sense of security after the storm’s impact.

Funded through New York State Homes and Community Renewal (NYSHCR), the Resilient & Ready Storm Recovery Program offers grants of up to $50,000 for emergency repairs that make homes safe, sanitary, and habitable. The FCEDC has already awarded significant funding to 26 eligible residents, addressing critical needs such as structural repairs, environmental hazard mitigation, and appliance replacement.

As a reminder, FCEDC is still accepting applications. Homeowners have until November 8, 2024, at 5 PM to apply. This provides additional time for Franklin County residents to access the funding available through this vital program.

“We are immensely proud to serve our community through the Resilient & Ready Storm Recovery Program,” said Jeremy Evans, FCEDC CEO. “The overwhelming response we’ve seen is a testament to the resilience of Franklin County residents.
