Shop Local
Shop Local
Franklin County, NY – Here in the Adirondack Frontier we know what it feels like to go to a store or a restaurant and be able to talk to the owner. We know that when we spend money at these businesses that it really means something. We enjoy the unique experience we have at these one-of-kind places.
We take comfort knowing that we will see the owner’s children singing next to ours at the school holiday concert. We appreciate the fact that the holiday helpers are supported, not by Fortune 500 companies, but by locally-owned businesses.
This is our shared experience in the Adirondack Frontier. An experience that is increasingly rare in the United States. It adds to our quality of life and it is one of the reasons we live here.
It feels good to shop local but it’s also smart because these businesses generate 3.5 times more wealth for the local economy compared to the same money spent at a chain-owned business. When you shop local you support an entire community, not just the business.
This holiday season, let’s support and celebrate our friends, family, and neighbors who own these businesses. And when the new year comes, let’s make it a year-round Adirondack Frontier tradition.
Happy Holidays!
